Oahu Indie Book Festival
Details
Honolulu Silent Book Club is pleased to partner with the first Oahu Indie Book Festival! We'll have an info table and our famous one hour of silent reading time!
In addition to 12 of Hawaii's independently published authors and illustrators, there will be giveaways, discussion panels, author readings, books for sale, activities for kids and grownups, and keiki storytimes.
Oh, and there's a cool scavenger hunt with some truly fantastic prizes. I'm not just saying this.
Mitchell will host the reading hour and will be on the Writing: Process, Tips, Community panel.
We're working on ways we can support the writers as well. Please stay tuned for this as it develops.
The formal silent reading time is 10:10 to 11:30 in the Language, Literature & History section (left wing as you enter the library, first floor all the way back, where we meet for our usual library readups).
Actually, if you've been to a couple of our events are are willing to host the reading time, please let Mitchell know. This will be at the beginning of the festival, and he would like to be at our info table for the first hour. Or volunteer to be at the table so Mitchell can host the reading hour.
I'll share other specific schedule info in the photos!
The RSVP is specifically for the reding hour: 10:10 to 11:30. You don't have to RSVP for the rest of the festival, but we hope you'll be there!
