Welkom bij onze allereerste wandeling door het adembenemende historische centrum van Hoorn! Sluit je bij ons aan voor een fascinerende ontdekkingstocht door één van Noord-Hollands best bewaarde VOC-steden. Gedurende ongeveer 2,5 uur nemen we je mee langs verborgen parels en indrukwekkende monumenten.

## Onze route

Onze wandeling begint bij het station van Hoorn en voert langs:

• De Veemarkt met het oude Kazernegebouw
• Het Achterom met het statige St. Jozef gebouw
• Prachtig gerestaureerde arbeidshuisjes in de Achterstraat
• De middeleeuwse Mariakapel
• De Statenpoort, een renaissancegebouw uit 1613
• Het monumentale VOC-gebouw in de Muntstraat
• De Grote Kerk
• De Rode Steen met de indrukwekkende Waag en het Statencollege

Onderweg delen we boeiende verhalen over het leven in de Gouden Eeuw en de belangrijke rol die Hoorn speelde tijdens de VOC-periode.

## Gezellige afsluiting

Na onze wandeling is er gelegenheid om samen na te praten onder het genot van een drankje in een gezellig café op de Rode Steen.

## Dear walking enthusiasts,

Welcome to our very first walk through the breathtaking historic center of Hoorn! Join us for a fascinating journey of discovery through one of North Holland's best-preserved VOC cities. For approximately 2.5 hours, we will take you along hidden gems and impressive monuments.

## Our route

Our walk begins at Hoorn station and leads along:

• The Veemarkt with the old Barracks building
• The Achterom with the stately St. Jozef building
• Beautifully restored workers' houses in the Achterstraat
• The medieval Maria Chapel
• The Statenpoort, a Renaissance building from 1613
• The monumental VOC building in the Muntstraat
• The Great Church
• The Rode Steen with the impressive Waag and the Statencollege

Along the way, we will share fascinating stories about life in the Golden Age and the important role that Hoorn played during the VOC period.

After our walk, there will be an opportunity to chat together while enjoying a drink in a cozy café on the Rode Steen.
