Welkom bij onze volgende wandeling door Hoorn — en deze wordt een beetje anders! Dit keer duiken we in de fascinerende wereld van stedenbouw en architectuur, van moderne ruimtelijke ordening tot historische monumenten die een tweede leven hebben gekregen. 🏗️ Onze gids heeft jarenlang zitting gehad in de welstand- en monumentencommissie van Hoorn en neemt je mee achter de schermen van de stad. Een unieke kans!

## Onze route 🗺️

De wandeling begint bij het station en voert langs de loopbrug bij de Poort van Hoorn, de Westerdijk met de locatie van de voormalige schouwburg, en het prachtige Oostereiland — een inspirerend voorbeeld van herbestemming van oude gevangenis en rijksmonument naar woningen, bioscoop, restaurant en musea 🎬🍽️. Afhankelijk van de tijd sluiten we af in de historische binnenstad.

This time we dive into the fascinating world of urban planning and architecture, from modern spatial design to historic monuments that have been given a new lease on life. 🏗️ Our guide has spent years on the aesthetics and monuments committee of Hoorn and will take you behind the scenes of the city. A unique opportunity!

## Our Route 🗺️

The walk starts at the station and passes by the footbridge at the Poort van Hoorn, the Westerdijk with the site of the former theatre, and the beautiful Oostereiland — an inspiring example of the repurposing of an old prison and national monument into homes, a cinema, restaurant, and museums 🎬🍽️. Depending on time, we'll finish in the historic city centre.
