Do you want to improve your Somali, but don't know how?
Would you like to connect with your fellow-Somalis around the city?
Would you like to deepen your cultural knowledge right from the rich cultural hubs that are our homes?
Then... Look no further!
HooyoHop is a social exchange programme where we will visit one another's hooyo (or aabe!) as a way to improve our Somali language. This session will involve a casual presentation and conversation exchange about a topic in order to enrich our language and cultural understanding. Inspired by the method of Cross-Talk, this programme aims to meet participants at their current level of language in order to facilitate real progress.
