What we’re about

Calling all nature lovers! A new book club is starting at Horfield Library in 2026. We'd love to bring people of different ages together, so feel free to bring children, older relatives, or anyone you know!

In our first meeting, we'll have a chat about how regularly we'd like to meet, and how we want to structure the meetings going forwards.

Nature Book Club - First Meet

A new book club is starting at Horfield Library! Drop in, no need to book or reserve a spot. All ages welcome.

Our first read is Diary of a Young Naturalist by Dara McAnulty - copies will be provided. This book is suitable for readers aged 14+ so there will also be a different title available for younger readers (Wild Child by Dara McAnulty).

There's no expectation to read the book before this meeting, but if you'd like to get a head start you can pick up a copy from Horfield Library anytime. You'll just need to ask a member of staff for one of the Nature Book Club books.

By bus - you can take the 70 or 74 to Toronto Road bus stop.
Cycling - there are bicycle stands to the side of the library.
For drivers - the library has its own small car park and on-street parking nearby.
