Book of the Month: My Best Friend’s Exorcism by Grady Hendrix.
Book Summary
The year is 1988. High school sophomores Abby and Gretchen have been best friends since fourth grade. But after an evening of skinny-dipping goes disastrously wrong, Gretchen begins to act…different. She’s moody. She’s irritable. And bizarre incidents keep happening whenever she’s nearby. Abby’s investigation leads her to some startling discoveries, and by the time their story reaches its terrifying conclusion, the fate of Abby and Gretchen will be determined by a single question: Is their friendship powerful enough to beat the devil? You can check the trigger warnings at the bottom, or dive in blind if you prefer a surprise.
Don’t worry if you haven’t finished the book, we’ll start by chatting about whatever spooky (or not-so-spooky) reads we’re enjoying before diving into the featured title. Come for the eerie atmosphere, stay for the lively conversations and, of course, the cats, because let’s be honest, that’s why you’re really here, isn’t it?
Questions? Feel free to drop a comment or message me (Gonzalo) for more details. Hope to see you there!
