Horse People (Va and Outer banks)

This is a community for horse lovers snd enthusiasts from Virginia Beach to Norfolk, Chesapeake to Suffolk and everywhere in between in the larger Hampton roads community. We will have additional groups yo break out geared to showing, training, recreation and therapeutic rescue . Whether you’re a former rodeo queen or olympic show jumper, a recreational rider or an admirer looking to connect with a new community you are welcome here!
Upcoming adventures include winter trail rides, recreational outings, therapy volunteers, horse rescue initiatives, beginner to advanced horseman ship clinics, 4H and local horse shows, a Kentucky Derby and Preakness trip, to the lesser known sports like horse vaulting, mounted archery, yoga on horseback, carriage driving and paper chases to therapy for adults &’children and family outings, mounted archery and yoga on horseback, as well as social events like line dancing, concerts, happy hours, dinners and of course destination based retreats and local overnight pack trips. Whether you want to volunteer your time to help rescue snd rehabilitate horses who deserve a second chance, or find a new pro to travel with to your next show, this is a safe and inclusive community for experiencing the therapeutic power and connection the horse has the power to create.
