A great family day out on bicycles. Join us on this popular annual social cycle ride along the Worth Way, with a chance to see Steam Trains at East Grinstead.

We will gather in the Car Park at Oriel School from 10:30 for an 11:00 departure for a leafy summer ride along the Worth Way.

Almost completely traffic-free, we follow this gentle path as it takes a leafy route through the Sussex countryside along the route of the old railway, stopping to appreciate the scenery along the way.

After a stop at East Grinstead, with the opportunity for coffee and cake, and the chance to see a steam train, we return by the same route - this time descending gently back to Oriel School by 15:00.

Back for 2026, this is the third of this summer's 6 Crawley By Cycle guided cycle rides, each very slightly longer than the previous ride.
These rides are aimed at those new to cycling, or returning after a break, and would like to explore the cycle routes in and around Crawley, in the company of like-minded people. This ride is suitable for anyone, of any age, capable of riding continuously for 20 minutes at a gentle pace. All are welcome, anyone under 17 will need to be accompanied by a responsible adult.

If you have any questions, just ask the organiser.
