Hot Summer, Hot Source 2016 - Unlock your Creativity

Dear Hot Sourcers

We're delighted to confirm that our next event on Thursday 16 June is taking inspiration from the upcoming launch of the British Art Show 8 in Norwich (http://www.nua.ac.uk/nua-to-host-british-art-show-8-in-norwich/). In our first makie for a while, our guests will be helping you unlock your inner artist with two rapid fire but fun sessions on drawing and doodling.

We want you to enjoy a relaxed yet stimulating evening - so there'll be socialising and wine throughout (https://www.meetup.com/Hot-Source-Norwich/sponsors/), thanks to Norwich CC. Our special guests will be sketch-noter Chris Spalton (http://spaltonsketchnotes.tumblr.com/) and artist Catherine Hill. They will each run two 45 minute sessions exploring different drawing techniques - you can take part in both.

If you've ever said 'But I can't even draw stickmen', this is the evening for you.

Chris will show you how to get to grips with basic shapes (you can draw anything with them). He'll will show you quick and easy ways to draw stick-people with personality. He'll then help you channel everyone's dream by showing you how to use sketch-note techniques to design your own tree-house.

Catherine will be showing you how to have fun with friendly faces - while socialising at the same time. Using three simple and playful techniques, she'll help you gain a fresh perspective on familiar features. Join us to find out more.
