About us

Calling all women and girls—have you ever felt exhausted by the constant weight of it all? Whether it’s:

-The catcalling
-The subtle (and not-so-subtle) sexism at work
-Harassment
-The moments you’ve felt unsafe, dismissed, or made to shrink yourself.

If there’s one thing that is universal to all women, is the lived impact of patriarchy – the toll of living in systems that weren’t built with us in mind. These aren’t isolated experiences—they’re shared by all women and girls, everywhere. And that’s exactly why they matter.
The solution? Sisterhood.

Across the history of women’s rights, every triumph points to one truth: there is true power when women come together, share their experiences and build collective consciousness.
Consciousness-raising is an activist practice in which women come together to share their thoughts and lived experiences. During the height of the Women’s Liberation Movement in the 60s and 70s, it quickly became a vital method of political activism, as it enabled women to connect and recognise common patterns of oppression women face in society. By gathering to speak openly about the realities of their lives, women were able to build collective awareness, solidarity, and the foundations for meaningful resistance, which changed history. With the current barriers we continue to face as women – increasing online misogyny, harassment and horrid criminal justice outcomes, we believe that the art of consciousness raising is needed now more than ever.

Join us in this women-only space where in an act of unity, we will meet biweekly to discuss the various issues facing women, whether it’s online misogyny, harassment, gender roles in relationships and collective tools for resistance. Ultimately, women are invited to bring whatever they wish to the conversation table: - personal experiences, good reads, and film recommendations. As each session goes on, women will have formed powerful, feminist connections, helping us to realise our power as women.

Overall, this is a safe space for important discussions and unity. And together, our voices are louder.

Looking forward to welcoming you inspiring and tenacious women to the group.

In sisterhood and solidarity,
Sam
