Nema Safvati
Nema Safvati is a Senior FX artist at Blizzard Entertainment within the Story and Franchise Development Division. He started out in advertising at studios such as The Mill and Moving Pictures Company. Before working at Blizzard Nema worked on feature films at Digital Domain in Los Angeles. Such as Spider-man: Homecoming, Thor Ragnarok, and Avengers: Infinity War.

Thanos Kagkalos
Thanos Kagkalos aka MotionPunk, is a 3D artist/motion design director based in Athens, Greece. Driven by curiosity, always on the lookout for new visual languages.

Carlos Dordelly
Carlos is a 3D motion designer and co-founder of Dyne Studio, a motion design studio based in Santiago of Chile. He has experience in different fields from Motion Design such as television, advertising, and corporative videos, with a little experience in the educational field. He is a fan of productivity tools like Notion and abstract arts, that’s why he started his 3D journey with C4D back in ~2013, and in 2020, as the second and last attempt, he switched to Houdini as the main DCC tool to have a wider playground to create and experiment multiple things from the CG world.

Nelson Noa
Nelson began his journey as an 8-year-old obsessed with making web skins, that passion made him quickly learn HTML/CSS which he then later applied for a frontend/design role at 12. By the time he was 16, he had been recruited by a few startups in Silicon Valley. He grew up in the world of investors and designing for user growth and impact. He began to apply all his design knowledge and coding experience to the learning of Houdini, which then became his secret weapon for any project.

The Commentators

Divyansh Mishra is a Technical Artist mainly focused on tool building and automation. His main tools of choice are Houdini, Unreal Engine & Substance Designer. He previously worked with Amazon Robotics as the Pipeline and tools Tech Artist co-op and he is currently completing his degree in Game Design & Production from Drexel University.
Armin Lotfi is a self-taught 3D visual artist and motion designer. His educational background in architecture, experience in photography, and graphic design have granted him a better understanding of the 3D world. Throughout the years, he has developed a workflow between different software packages such as Houdini FX, Autodesk Maya, Substance Painter, Nuke, After Effects, and Photoshop.

Debra Isaac is a visual artist, animator, and the founder of https://www.houdini.school/. She loves community building, hosts Houdini Battle, and co-organizes The Los Angeles Houdini User group (LAHUG). She has over 8 years of experience teaching Houdini and currently teaches Houdini at UCLA. She is passionate about scientific visualization, motion graphics, and emerging technologies. Her clients have included Intel, Mattel, and The UCLA Art|Sci Center.
