What we're about

This is a meet up for people who are interested learning, teaching, and building around the Raspberry Pi, the tiny $30 computer. Join us to learn more about the Raspberry Pi and meet other Pi enthusiasts.

Go and vote early!

Toyota Center

Go cast your vote. The earlier the better. At the Toyota Center (address given for this event) there is even a drive-thru option. Early voting is open until the 30th but for some reason Meetup won’t let me run this event for that long.

$10.00

This is not a real event, it is just here for fundraising! We want to keep the Houston Raspberry Pi Users Group free and open to all so we don't charge anyone to be a member or attend our events. Having said that, the only cost our group has is the fee to use the Meetup platform, which is how the vast majority of people who attend our events found us. We considered moving over to other platforms without a fee but it was felt by the group that staying on Meetup was the most effective way to be found by the people who might like our group. The costs for an organizer to run a group on Meetup are nearly $100 every 6 months. Rather than requiring members to pay dues, I have organised a voluntary "paid" event each 6 months just before the renewal fee becomes due. If you value this group and want to make a contribution of $10, simply RSVP to this event and make the payment. That's it. Thank you for your support!
