House Concert featuring Harmonessence

Ginny and I are happy to announce our first house concert for 2018. We’re looking forward to hosting a concert by a Baltimore based vocal group of six women who call themselves Harmonessence. Our friend Jill Pekofsky sings and sometimes plays guitar with the group. She says that the group happened “sort of by accident. As members of another, larger group, 3 of us were working on an acapella song in 3 part harmony, and we thought “What if we added another voice to each part?” and when we did, the magic happened! After that we added a few more songs, performed at a couple of Centers for Spiritual Living and finally, last April, did our first non-church performance at Mad City Coffee in Columbia.

We are 6 women who love vocal harmony, love lifting spirits, love each other and singing together, and love sharing what we do with others. We are excited to have begun the recording process for all that ask us where our CD’s are, and to have a house concert booked for the spring, along with our spiritual center/church bookings.

With our love of harmony being the essence of our music, the name Harmonessence was born. It also describes how we try to be in the world, interacting with harmony and love.”

The event will start at 3:00 and we'll connect and enjoy some vegan snacks until around 3:30 when the concert will start. We should be wrapped up before 6:00. Hope to see you there!
