Chasing Sunsets at Linz' first ever International Walking Club (or so we think it is?).

Cheer with internationals and make new local friends all in one batch. ✨

We meet in Heilham at Neue Eisenbahnbrücke. Exact meeting location will be sent to you upon confirmation of your coming.

We will then walk along the river in the direction of Pleschingersee. Depending on our speed and liking we walk all the way or decide on a route our bodies would like to take.

WHY DO WE WALK?

* First of all, for all the obvious reasons.
* Secondly, walking is easy and sweet on our nervous system. And we love that.
* To slow down.
* To breathe and take it all in.
* To strip off the work week and set the tone for a mindful, rich and restful weekend.

WHY DO WE WALK TOGETHER?

* To forge connection and build community across ages and social borders.
* To give each other a helping nudge when the call of our couch is strong.
* To feel the warmth of fellow human beings and battle depression, anxiety, loneliness and so many other mental health crises that are on the rise in our midst in these fast and strange times.
* To foster the inner knowing that we are not alone and phones are nice but not a great replacement for real human connection.
* And last but not least to set an end to doomscrolling. 😁

WHAT TO BRING:

* Your curiosity and brave heart to meet new people
* comfy clothes and shoes you're comfortable walking in, including crossing some puddles or muddy situations in case of (previous) rain
* An extra layer just in case
* A water bottle and some snacks could be nice
* A minute or two to sit with yourself and set your intention. (Don't worry. We'll do it together at the beginning as well as a little ritual. But if you prefer to be alone to fully tune in, here's your little headsup so you can do it before.) What would you like to happen? What would you like the walk to help you let go of? What would you like for it to call in? How would you like to feel when you leave?

TICKETS:

We work on a SOCIAL SLIDING SCALE at your own discretion:
Reduced ticket: EUR 25.- for students and low incomes (If this still feels too much for you, let's talk, everybody should be able to attend.)
Regular: EUR 35.-
Sponsor to cover for people who aren't able to pay full price: EUR 45.-

This is the first time we are meeting. We hope it strums a chord to do it more often, ideally every week.

We'd love to see you leave with radiant glowing faces and send you off at the end into a wonderful weekend.

Depending on your motivation we might also do more walks on different days and times in the future, also in mornings and afternoons during the week so we start the day with intention and connection to a bigger picture than "just another work day".
