Sobriety and Fellowship
Details
Struggling with addiction? Looking for a supportive community of like-minded people walking a similar path?
Pagans in Recovery is a Twelve Step / Twelve Tradition fellowship inspired by the example pioneered by Alcoholics Anonymous. Our purpose is to create a welcoming recovery space for those whose spirituality may include polytheistic worship, earth-based practices, magical traditions, or alternative spiritual paths.
We seek no controversy or conflict and are not affiliated with any specific religion, denomination, or spiritual sect. Instead, we recognize that many people find strength, meaning, and healing through relationships with Deities, spirits, nature, ancestors, and personal spiritual practices that support their recovery journey.
Pagans in Recovery is not tied to any one specific Twelve-Step fellowship and is not intended to compete with or replace any existing recovery program. It is designed to work alongside whichever recovery path an individual chooses.
Because recovery looks different for everyone, Pagans in Recovery recognizes two forms of sobriety:
• Chemical Sobriety — abstaining from alcohol and other mind-altering substances
• Process Sobriety — abstaining from obsessive or compulsive behaviors that negatively impact our lives physically, emotionally, spiritually, or financially.
Each individual defines for themselves what addictions or behaviors they seek to overcome.
Whether you are Pagan, Wiccan, Heathen, Druid, Polytheist, Witch, spiritually curious, or simply seeking a recovery community that respects alternative spiritual perspectives — you are welcome here.
