The purpose of this community of friends is to unite souls throughout the greater Houston area in the spirit of collaboration, love, learning, service and fellowship. The aim of this group in particular is to forge an environment where seekers, Bahai's, friends of the Faith and members of the wider community alike can come together regularly to get to know one another/enjoy each other's company, plan activities, learn more about the Faith and other matters through open discussion/consultation in a relaxed, welcoming, inclusive and non-judgmental atmosphere.
The Baha’i Faith is the newest of the world’s major religions. In 1863, Baha’u’llah, the prophet founder of Baha’i Faith declared is mission as Messenger of God for this age. Since that time the Baha’i Faith has spread to every country and territory in the world. It’s sacred writings have been translated into over 600 languages. Baha’u’llah taught that all the prophets of the past were a part of God’s continuous spiritual education of humanity and that the essence of all the world’s great religions is the reveal to humanity the basic spiritual and moral principles necessary for human success and happiness. In this age of unprecedented advances in scientific knowledge and material development, the primary message of the Baha’i Faith reaffirms these basic moral and spiritual principles while revealing a spiritual blueprint for a enduring peace and prosperity within a global civilization.
Of course, you do not have to be a Baha'i to be a part of this community. Indeed, seekers and people from all faith traditions are very much encouraged to join!
