Houston Bitcoin Meetup #42

The Houston Bitcoin Meetup is open to all who want to learn and discuss bitcoin, whether you’re in the industry or just hearing about bitcoin for the first time. We'll review the more recent and relevant developments in the bitcoin world over the past month to start as usual. Then we'll be hosting a short presentation + discussion led by Kristian Csepcsar of Braiins (bitcoin mining pool and firmware) on StratumV2 vs. DATUM and the future of bitcoin mining hashrate.

Mining decentralization is a key hot button topic so this month's topic is very timely and we're excited to welcome our friends from Braiins who have travelled over from the Czech Republic for a tour through the states. For those not familiar, Braiins is one of the oldest bitcoin mining pools and firmwares. Come and learn about the latest developments in bitcoin, especially mining and its relationship with the energy industry. Good food and cold beer provided. Kristian and Braiins will be providing a special brew of beers, made specifically for this event!
