A New Landowner's Journey by Mark Brown
Mark Brown - Born in Houston, raised in Jersey Village from the age of 5, attended Cy-Fair high school, graduate of Sam Houston State with a bachelors in business. My career was spent in the construction industry, sales of pre-engineered buildings and the last 20 years of my career as president of a general contracting company in Houston.
How I became a land steward was really accidental, never a plan. We bought our first piece of property in 2000 and added 3 more pieces in the next five years. We own a total of 200 acres. Ever since I was a kid I always wanted to own some land, too many westerns in the 60’s. After purchasing the land I started researching what supposed to be on the land and how I could make it better. I will save the rest for the presentation.
