About us
Houston Creative Connection is a community for adults who want to make things, try new creative practices, meet interesting people, and spend a little more time away from screens and perfection.
We gather at Restoration Studio in Houston’s Sawyer Yards for art journaling, mixed media, altered books, collage, watercolor, mark-making, seasonal creative experiences, open studio nights, artist-led gatherings, and other opportunities to create alongside one another.
You do not need to consider yourself an artist.
This community is about curiosity, process, connection, and giving yourself permission to make something simply because making feels good.
Some gatherings are casual and self-directed. Others are guided experiences or special workshops. Events may be free or ticketed depending on the materials and format, and pricing will always be clearly listed in advance.
Houston Creative Connection is hosted by Restoration Studio, a process-based creative studio at Sawyer Yards founded by Adrienne Binder.
Come alone. Bring a friend. Bring the journal you've been meaning to use for six months.
