The Houston Fabric User Group is hosting a half-day, in-person session on how Microsoft Fabric is taking shape as a unified platform for analytics and BI, and how AI builds on that foundation.

As organizations continue to simplify their data estates, Fabric is increasingly becoming the layer that brings data engineering, analytics, governance, and reporting together. This session starts with those fundamentals and then builds into how AI and conversational experiences sit on top of a well-structured Fabric environment.

What You'll See

We’ll begin with the foundation of Microsoft Fabric and how it works as a unified analytics platform.

We’ll then move into an end-to-end, live demonstration showing how a Power BI semantic model becomes the foundation for AI experiences. This includes building a data agent and publishing it through Copilot Studio, and how that agent can be used directly in Microsoft Teams.

You’ll see how these capabilities come together to:

  • Understand the foundations of a unified, governed data platform
  • Create conversational experiences over enterprise data
  • Enable data agents that surface insights through natural interactions
  • Bring insights directly into everyday workflows through Copilot Studio and Teams
  • Move from data to action efficiently, without adding complexity
