GDG - ML Ops Event (GDG Cross Post)

Details

Howdy Houston GCP User Group!

We have not hosted any events since the COVID outbreak, and do not plan on hosting any in-person events for several more months. However, our friends in the Google Developer Group (GDG) have been hosting online events with some success so we are going to co-sponsor their next online event. If you have missed our monthly discussions and connections with local Googlers, please join the GDG online event with us.

I am sure you will join for the learning and connections, but there will be some giveaways as well. Below this line are the GDG event details. Please link to their event and RSVP. RSVP to this meet-up will not secure your spot.

Howdy GDG Enthusiasts !!
Let's learn about MLOps :)

ML and other software systems are similar in continuous integration of source control, unit testing, integration testing, and continuous delivery of the software module or the package.
There are a few notable differences:

  • CI is no longer only about testing and validating code and components, but also testing and validating data, data schemas, and models.
  • CD is no longer about a single software package or a service, but a system (an ML training pipeline) that should automatically deploy another service (model prediction service).
  • CT is a new property, unique to ML systems, that's concerned with automatically retraining and serving the models.
