What we’re about
This group is for women AND moms with high school-aged, college-aged and older children who are looking to make friends and do fun activities in the Inner Loop Houston area. This group is also limited to women who are fully vaccinated for Covid 19.
NOTE: Because it costs the group's organizers several hundred dollars a year to maintain this group on Meetup, we charge members $10 a year to participate. Any new members who join the group in 2025 will be asked to pay the $10 dues once they’ve participated in events for a month.
We are inclusive of all ages, races, ethnicities, nationalities, sexual orientations and marital statuses, as long as you consider yourself a mom of older kids. I also ask that all of our members be fully vaccinated for Covid-19, 💉 for the safety of everyone in the group. You don’t have to live inside the Loop to participate — just be aware that most of the activities planned will take place inside the Loop, unless they are hosted by members who live farther out than I do. 😁
I'm Robyn, the original organizer of the group. I’m an empty nester (with two daughters, in their 20s) who moved to Houston in 2019. I started this group in 2021 in order to make friends once I was fully vaccinated. Activities we offer in this group include, but aren’t limited to, coffees, walking, hiking, doing crafts, restaurant get-togethers, dinner parties, museum visits, happy hours, yoga, playing sports, book swaps, live theater, ballet, and concerts. If it sounds like something fun to do with friends, I’m game to put it on the calendar. 🎉 Robyn Schmidt
