Let's get together for a nice walk while we chat at the lovely Houston Arboretum. We'll walk and chat for about an hour or until we are tired. Bring your own water, because there aren’t convenient water fountains.

I know the trails there really well. It’s a huge, gorgeous park where you will forget that you are in the middle of Houston and feel like you are out in nature. It's also has tons of trees and always feels about 10 degrees cooler than whatever the outdoor temperature is, so dress accordingly. The Arboretum has lots of pretty trails with wildlife, but doesn't allow runners or bikers, so it’s a lovely place to walk. They even have some "elevation" on the trails. :)

***Note*:** Normally, you have to pay $5 to park at The Arboretum but **parking is free on Thursdays.**

There is a loop parking lot off of Woodway Drive that has plenty of parking and where you can easily pay to park as well. **We’ll meet at the beginning of the Donor Boardwalk trail** (see the map photo I’ve attached). The gray loop on the map is the parking area. **Meet where I’ve circled the map in green. :)**

**IMPORTANT NOTE:** Be sure to park in the circle parking lot off of Woodway Drive (**NOT** the entrance off of the Loop highway access road). **IT’S TRICKY TO FIND the right entrance,** so please check your map ahead of time. It’s really hard to meet up if you park at the wrong entrance. :) If you park in the parking lot circle off of Woodway Drive, it’s a short walk from there to the meeting point at the start of the Donor Boardwalk. **See the green circle on the attached map if you aren’t familiar with the Arboretum.**

**If anyone wants to get coffee after the walk**, we can go over to the **Coffee House at West End,** which is a quick 5-minute drive away. They have lots of inside seating if the weather is too hot or rainy, and a nice rooftop patio where we can sit if the weather is nice. :)
