Calling all Houston jazz musicians and fans! Join us for our weekly Improv Jazz Open Jam Connection meetup where we come together to share our love for jazz music. Whether you're a seasoned pro or just getting started, this is the perfect opportunity to connect with like-minded individuals, showcase your talents, and explore new musical possibilities through improvisation. Let's create a supportive and creative environment where we can jam, learn from each other, and simply have a great time making music. Come join us and let's keep the jazz spirit alive in Houston!
One or more locations will be identified and used for musicians to get together and play (and sing). The 'Real Book'(s) and other material which is provided through 'lead sheets' will often be used to play the music.
All musicians of any degree of expertise/experiences are welcome - beginner to advanced.
This group IS NOT about creating a formal band or ensemble. Everybody gets to play. If you come, you will play even if there are other musicians playing the same instrument as you.
