Progressive Web Applications and the Future of the Web

One of the latest web technologies that has been deployed into most modern browsers is Progressive Web Apps, or PWAs. PWAs are web applications that leverage web workers, offline functionality, and push notifications to deliver an improved user experience, often approaching native mobile apps. PWAs can be installed as a home screen icon, often making them hard to distinguish from native apps.

Our speaker is Joe Feser, an independent consultant with a long history of software development. Most recently, Joe was part of a PWA launch using the Ionic mobile framework.
