On April 21 at 6pm, we are excited to be hosting Josh Bottum, Charles Adetiloye, and Timo Mechler to discuss and demonstrate the use of Kubeflow for machine learning in Kubernetes. They will present a Kubeflow Community Update, then discuss and demonstrate a common use case for using Kubeflow.

Bio: Josh Bottum is a Kubeflow Community Product Manager. His Community responsibilities include assisting users to quantify Kubeflow business value, develop critical user journeys (CUJs), triage incoming user issues, prioritize feature delivery, write release announcements and deliver presentations and demonstrations of Kubeflow. Mr. Bottum is also a VP of Arrikto. Arrikto simplifies storage operations for stateful Kubernetes applications by enabling efficient local storage architectures with data durability and portability. Arrikto is a core code contributor to Kubeflow.

Charles Adetiloye:​ Charles is a ML Platforms Engineer and Consultant at MavenCode. He has well over a decade worth of experience consulting and implementing large-scale data processing software platforms across different industry verticals. He is heavily involved with Kubernetes and Kubeflow for building Cloud-Native and scalable large scale applications.

Timo Mechler:​ Timo is Consulting Practice Lead and Architect at MavenCode. He has close to a decade of data modeling experience working both as an analyst and strategist in the energy commodities sector. At MavenCode he now works closely with clients and the rest of the consulting team to solve interesting data modeling and infrastructure challenges.FORMAT: We're aiming to have a technical talk at each monthly meeting, generally held on the 3rd Tuesday of the month. We'll also be setting aside time for a few 5-minute lightening talks each month. If you have an idea for a talk, please contact the group organizers to get on the schedule.

VENUE AND SPONSOR: Decisio Health ( https://decisiohealth.com/ ) has graciously offered to host our Kubernetes Meetup! We will be meeting at Decisio Health's office at 3900 Essex Ln. Suite #600 Houston, TX 77027, on the sixth floor.

FOOD/DRINK: Decisio will be providing Food (both vegetarian and meat varieties) as well as water, beer, and soda. If you have alternate preferences, please feel free to bring your own (perhaps from Central Market, next door). PARKING: Plenty of marked VISITOR spots are available in the garage. Please DO NOT use "Reserved" parking, especially "Reserved Kelsey-Seybold" parking. (Parking at Central Market is also possible but "at your own risk" regarding their towing policies).
