Come try pyrography (woodburning) in a fun, relaxed environment perfect for beginners looking for a unique, memorable experience.

This is this group's first meetup, graciously hosted by New Magnolia Brewing on the picnic tables in the brewery's backyard.
We'll go from 7pm to 9pm (when the bar closes). Drop in anytime.

I'll set up four pyrography stations and bring around 100 smaller (roughly 3 inch diameter) circular wood slices for our canvases. The slices make great drink coasters, wall art, or ornaments.

All materials provided: Pyrography pens, circular basswood canvases, heat retardant gloves, high-durability wood stain, air filtration systems, metal stencils, sanding sponges, pencils, double-sided tape (to make wall art), drill and twine (to make ornaments), and burn cream (just in case).

You can drop in anytime and the session is free. If you can donate a dollar per slice you burn, that'd be incredible to help me pay for the materials. If you can't, don't worry about it and enjoy your night experiencing pyrography!

Come solo or bring friends or a date. All are welcome. Grab a craft beer, relax, and burn some wood with us :)
