Join Chris Douglas, former apprentice to Carlos Castaneda, Joseph High Eagle, and many others, for an in depth and energetic discussion on the use of plant teachers as a means to evolve consciousness. We will be discussing the use of Mapacho, Ayahuasca, Peyote, Huachuma, Mushrooms, and other less known medicinal plants.

Chris spoke on this topic in August in Austin. This talk will go in new directions and further explore the experiences of plant medicines. It will include an hour of discussing plant medicines, 45 minutes of ceremonial drums, rattles, singing of Icaros (medicine songs) followed with 15 minutes of Questions and Answers. It will be a most enlightening evening, and Chris brings in the spirit of each plant while speaking, giving you a brief experience of what each one of these plants bring to the path of heart.

Chris Douglas has been working with plant medicines for over 30 years and has been rigorously trained in the ways of plant medicine and energetic presence. He has spent many years as an apprentice to many teachers. He spent 2 years with Carlos Castaneda, writer of the "teachings of Don Juan" as well as 9 other books detailing his apprenticeship with Don Juan, a most profound medicine man from Mexico.

Chris has also spent 2 years with Joseph High Eagle, a elder medicine man from the Lakota tribe, whose teacher was none other than Nicholas Black Elk, one of the most renowned medicine men from the 19th century. Black Elk's life is beautifully felt through the book "Black Elk Speaks.
