Women Shaping the Future of Space

Join the AIAA Houston Section SpaceGeekSpeak for a special International Women’s Day panel discussion featuring female leaders from across the space community.

The theme for International Women’s Day 2026 is “Give To Gain.” The idea behind this theme is that when we share knowledge, mentorship, and opportunities with others, the entire community benefits. Progress in space exploration depends on collaboration, knowledge transfer, and the willingness to support and develop the next generation of engineers, scientists, and explorers.

This panel will bring together accomplished women from the space sector to discuss their career journeys, the influences that shaped their paths, lessons learned through leadership and collaboration, and their perspectives on the future of space exploration. The conversation will also focus on how mentorship and shared experience help open doors and strengthen the aerospace community.

Through personal stories and professional insights, panelists will reflect on how giving knowledge, guidance, and opportunity ultimately helps the entire field move forward.
