De Lange Conference XIV: Brains in Society
Details
IN-PERSON (FREE): "The brain is one of the most complex structures in the known universe, and our understanding of how it works has exploded over the past 30 years. We are at the precipice of basic neuroscience discoveries having a significant impact on our everyday lives — new clinical interventions, neurotechnology, and neuroscience-based policy and education, and other areas. This shift from basic discovery to societal impact requires neuroscience to think carefully about how to make the impact broad, equitable, and ethical. Sciencia/DeLange XIV will broaden the conversation around neuroscience, with Rice taking a leading role in defining what the future of societally relevant neuroscience research will look like."
