IN-PERSON: "Spatial biology is a rapidly growing field that studies cells and molecules in their native environment in multiple dimensions. By studying cells and biomarkers in the tissue microenvironment, we gain new insight into drug responses, complex disease mechanisms, and personalized medicine. The conference and poster session will also highlight the outstanding research underway by predoctoral and postdoctoral trainees in the seven inter-institutional training programs administered by the GCC/Keck Center in the greater Houston area."

#### Speakers:

Yi-Wei Chang, PhD, Assistant Professor, Biochemistry and Biophysics, Associate Director, Institute of Structural Biology, University of Pennsylvania
Rong Fan, PhD, Professor, Biomedical Engineering, Pathology, Yale University
Miranda Orr, PhD, Associate Professor, Neurology, Washington University School of Medicine
Hong Zhou, PhD, Professor, Microbiology, Immunology, and Molecular Genetics, Founding Director of the Electron Imaging Center for Nanosystems at CNSI, University of California, Los Angeles

#### Conference Organizers:Co-Chairs:

Li-av Segev Zarko, PhD, Assistant Professor, Biochemistry & Molecular Biology, University of Texas Medical Branch, Galveston
Hong Zhao, MD, PhD, Associate Professor, Molecular Biology in Medicine, Houston Methodist Research Institute
