Earth Day at Exploration Green in Clear Lake

Bay Area’s new Exploration Green will host its annual Earth Day Celebration at the 200-acre green space in the heart of Clear Lake. Events will take place near the Tree and Wetlands Nurseries, located at about 1721 Neptune Ln. Free and open to everyone, festivities will include walking and biking the five miles of trails, kids’ activities and volunteer opportunities for visitors all ages.
Activities will include:
• Hike, bike, walk or run six miles of open trails
• Guided tours of Phase 1
• Environmental and Earth-science exhibitors and workshops
• Kids activities & games
• Enjoy FREE hotdogs!
• Volunteer opportunities

“We encourage local residents to walk, cycle or run to the Earth Day event using any of the many access points around the former golf course between Bay Area and El Dorado and Space Center and Diana Lane,” said Doug Peterson, vice-chair of the park conservancy. “Check the map on our website to see access closest to your home.”
