This is the Water for People & the Environment Committee's meeting for all Texans interested in water issues, advocacy, organizing and networking.
In this meeting, we'll welcome guest speaker Dr. Katie Pelch from the Natural Resources Defense Council (NRDC), who will discuss the issues related to PFAS, often referred to as 'forever chemicals', when they enter our water supplies and food chains, and the resulting environmental and health impacts on agricultural crops, livestock, and human health. Dr. Pelch's presentation is titled: "Navigating a Nonstick Nightmare".
