Sierra Club Visits Historic Plantations

On Saturday, September 13, 2025, 10 am, join the Houston Sierra Club at the Varner Hogg Plantation (VHP, 979-345-4656) in Brazoria County. The address of this Texas Historical Commission site is 1702 North 13th Street, West Columbia, Texas 77486. There’s a $10 entrance fee for adults and $8 for seniors to visit VHP which also allows you to visit the Levi Jordan Plantation, 10510 FM 524, Brazoria, Texas 77422 (979-798-2202).
This outing is limited to 15 people. After we visit the VHP, we’ll go to lunch, and after lunch we’ll visit the Levi Jordan Plantation.

We’ll sign-in quickly at VHP and proceed with our visit. If anyone has COVID symptoms or is sick don’t come! We want everyone safe. By going on this outing, we’ll be with individuals who are vaccinated/unvaccinated. It’s each person’s choice to participate in this outing.
If you want to participate in a voluntary carpool from Houston, meet on the west side of Starbucks in Meyerland Plaza, at 8:30 am. We will meet at the VHP at 10 am. Please be on time.
