This is the Water for People & Environment Committee's meeting for all Texans interested in water issues, advocacy, organizing and networking.
October 6 Topic:
Understanding Proposition 4 with Texas Water Experts
This presentation will provide an overview of Proposition 4, created through the passage of Texas House Joint Resolution 7 (HJR 7). Proposition 4 will be on the ballot in the Nov. 4 general election. We will have two guest speakers - Tom Entsminger from the National Wildlife Federation and Guadalupe Fernandez from Bayou City Waterkeeper. Both are partners within the Texas Living Waters coalition (that Sierra Club is part of as well).
We will explore what's at stake at Texans head to the polls this fall.
Election day will be Nov. 4, with early voting starting on October 20.
