Hermann Park Walk and Exploration

Hermann Park Walk and Exploration
Sunday, Jan. 18, 2:00pm to approximately 4:30pm

We will visit various parts of Hermann Park, including the Commons, remoter portions of the Park on the south side of Brays Bayou, and view current waterway and wildlife improvements underway. Sunday should be sunny and cool, with light wind. We will meet at the Obelisk between the reflecting pool and McGovern Lake. Additional rendezvous details will be sent to registered participants.
The new Commons area has incorporated many visitor facilities, play areas, and extensive plantings. The portion of the Park south of Brays Bayou is wilder with forest trails, and prairie habitat areas. The Park is currently rehabilitating the waterways adjacent to McGovern Lake.
Hermann Park is accessible by public transit: via the Red Line light rail, and various bus routes.

This outing will be limited to a total of 12 participants. All participants will be required to sign the Sierra Club participant waiver, which one should read in advance (scroll down for the detail language).
