This week, Clean Coast Texas invited representatives from the City of Houston to discuss their newly adopted Green Infrastructure Guidebook. Green stormwater infrastructure (GSI) is an alternative or addition to traditional detention and drainage techniques and integrates different tools to manage stormwater runoff. The City of Houston has recently created a locally tailored Green Infrastructure Guidebook to help designers, developers, and residents educate themselves on the benefits of Green Infrastructure. The guidebook describes several Best Management Practices (BMPs) and includes details on what sites they are applicable on, as well as pros and cons of each practice. Don’t miss out—register now and join us in May to dive into this engaging topic!
