Join the Sierra Club Lone Star Chapter for an online discussion about priority issues for the Texas Legislature in 2027.
After months of waiting, the Speaker of the House and Lt. Governor have both released their “interim legislative charges” - issue areas they have asked legislative committees to assess for potential recommendations.

There's a lot to talk about, so here is a blog about it:

Long story short, there are some really important issues being discussed ahead of the 90th Legislative Session. And, while we don't officially gavel in until January, it's vital that the Sierra Club and our members and supporters get involved now to build momentum.

We want to hear your thoughts, and strategize together about how we can center affordable, reliable, clean energy, intelligent water usage, and protect the state's environment in the public conversation. These are the issues that matter to Texans, and we have to make sure they are on the table.
