Plans are advancing for border wall construction and related infrastructure across parts of West Texas, including areas that affect the Greater Big Bend region. For many of us, Big Bend is one of the most extraordinary places in Texas—wild, remote, and deeply personal. That landscape, its wildlife, and access to it are at risk.
Join us for this special All-State Sierra Club Zoom meeting.
Hear from two outstanding speakers:
Bob Krumenaker (former Superintendent of Big Bend National Park; President, Keep Big Bend Wild) on what makes Big Bend unique—and what could be lost
Christina Hernandez (Executive Director, Big Bend Conservation Alliance; Native American leader with deep generational roots in West Texas) on what’s happening on the ground—and how we can respond
Together, they’ll cover:
1. What’s actually planned across the Big Bend region
2. Impacts on wildlife, ecosystems, and access
3. What you can do now to help protect this landscape
Why attend:
Get a clear, current picture of what’s happening
Connect with Sierra Club members across Texas
Learn practical ways to take action
Help us build momentum for future statewide programs
