March 20 Program:
Reinventing Clear Lake’s Downtown Commercial Area

Doug Peterson will discuss possible plans for a revitalized center for Clear Lake. Redeveloping aged, underused, broken-down blighted commercial areas into modern “City Centers” with amenities, green space, small businesses, government facilities with access by pedestrians, cyclists, transit and far fewer cars, effectively revitalizes communities.

Houston-Galveston Area Council’s Livable Centers Program helps reimagine auto-focused infrastructure to create quality, walkable, mixed-use places that reduce traffic congestion, improve air quality and transportation safety, promote economic development and housing choice.

Bay Area meetings are on 3rd Wednesday of the month, and start at 6:30pm for social hour; speaker and discussion from 7-8:30 pm.
