Virtual Houston Sitecore User Group Meeting - June 21st

Details

Join us for a virtual Houston Sitecore User Group (SUG) meeting on Friday, June 21 starting at 12pm CT / 1pm ET featuring three speakers and topics!

Agenda:

Welcome / Meet-n-Greet (5mins)

Presentation #1 (20mins)
Speaker: Amanda Murawski, Executive Director of Web Strategy at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University
Topic: Establishing content workflows
Abstract: Learn how to set up content workflows to enable marketers and content editors to review content before publishing.

Presentation #2 (20mins)
Speaker: Garima Thakore, DX Engineer at Horizontal Digital
Topic: Understanding and Configuring Basic Settings in Sitecore Headless SXA Website
Abstract: Generally when we create a new Headless SXA website in Sitecore, somethings are preconfigured while somethings need to be configured. In this session, we will look at why and what those default things are and which Additional Settings need to be configured to Deploy the Website on Vercel.

Presentation #3 (20mins)
Speaker: Frank van Zutphen, Software Engineer at Team Rockstars IT
Topic: The architecture of $(contentReplacementTokens) in Headless SXA
Abstract: Looking at the feature parity between SXA and Headless SXA you'll quickly find no native support for custom content replacement tokens in Headless SXA. This talk is interesting for people looking to migrate towards XMC, but wanting to keep the ability to use $(contentReplacementTokens) in a Next.js frontend and understand the architecture behind it.

Wrap Up & Call for Speakers for future meetings! (5mins)

This is a virtual meeting however please RSVP at least hour prior to the event as I'll review the waiting room names against the list who RSVP'ed. This will help reduce distractions and unregistered attendees to our meeting (i.e bots).

If you have any questions, feel free message me on Meetup and/or in Sitecore Community on Slack. And as always, SUG meetings are open to everyone in the Sitecore Community.

Thanks, Lisa Saltsman, 3x Sitecore MVP
