We'll start out in Pattison (Shell Fuel Maxx) and take the scenic route to Galveston via Surfside and the Blue Water Hwy. The plan is to have lunch at The Spot or possibly at the rally depending on the timing.

It is possible that we could become separated when riding in Galveston so please take a look at a google map of the island beforehand. The plan is to park on Post Oak St between 19st Street and 23rnd Street (in the general area near the Moody Bank).

There is no dedicated time for departing from Galveston. You are free to spend as much time as you like at the rally. I will probably be on the road around 3:00pm. I have a scenic route back to Sugar Land and will wing it from there depending on the timing. You are welcome to follow me or head home on your own route.

Outbound to Galveston: +/- 150 miles ea way

KSU at 8:00AM. Please arrive earlier to fuel up, socialize etc...

PLEASE NOTE: Out of an abundance of caution, if you have ANY reason to think you have been exposed to someone with COVID 19 or have tested positive for COVID 19 in the past 7 days, even if you feel fine, STAY AWAY for another 7 days!! We're your buddies and we aren't all young; have our backs like we have yours!

Please do not show up unless your RSVP is confirmed.

Please carry ICE information with you as described at the discussion URL here: https://www.meetup.com/houston-sport-touring-riders/discussions/?eventOrigin=event_home_page . It's best if you have this on paper with your wallet as your cell phone could be destroyed in crash. Please comply.

Ride at your own risk! Ride your own ride! Your participation indicates your understanding that you participate entirely at your own risk and accept complete responsibility for the safety and well being of yourself, your passengers, and your property. Your participation also indicates you carry insurance in accordance with Texas law and that you have a motorcycle license.

Let's maintain a safety-minded culture: All the Gear, All the Time. Wear the appropriate riding gear at all times. ZERO tolerance for any stunting--assume those riding around you are not comfortable with you riding unpredictably and prefer not to scrape you off the pavement.

Check your cold tire pressure for accuracy and add 4 lbs to each tire if you're checking tires when warm. Correct pressure will greatly improve your riding experience and will be safer!

Know your range! Reset your trip odometer each time you fill up--motorcycle gas gauges are notoriously unreliable. Start the trip with a full tank of gas (that's why we meet at a gas station). Plan on having enough gas to travel 125 miles between gas stops. Never pass up an opportunity to refuel when we stop for a break.
