Founder Hotseat: Pitch Your Startup to Houston Investors & Advisors

Do you have a startup or a strong idea for one? Could you use clear, honest feedback from experienced entrepreneurs as well as startup mentors and advisors? Join us for this Founder Pitch Event, hosted by Founder Institute in the Theater at The Cannon – West. During the event, Founders will have the chance to meet members of the local startup community and present a 1min. pitch of their ideas. A panel of experts in the room will rate each on a scale of 1–5 (no 3s allowed!) and provide practical, actionable feedback. Even if you don't plan to pitch, you're welcome to register, listen to the presentations, and learn from the experts' insights. This is one of the most valuable and popular events held annually before each cohort kickoff.

❯ Who Pitches?

There will be a sign up board at the event. It's possible that Directors may select some people from the audience to pitch. We will do as many pitches as time allows. To prepare, begin work on a one sentence pitch at https://fi.co/one-sentence-pitch and stretch it to be up to 1min. long. Feedback will be from 5-10mins depending on participation.

Spectators are welcome!

Even if you don't want to pitch, you are invited to register, meet the Directors and other FI - Houston Community Members in attendance, hear startup ideas, and watch how the experts analyze and critique new businesses.
