IMPORTANT NOTE:
We are working on finding a new home for the meetup, so where we meet may vary over the next few months. We are meeting this month in room 177 at the Houston Community College West Campus. Location for the October meetup is TBDThis month's meetup lands on the last day of Meta's annual Connect conference. We're expecting a number of smart-glasses announcements, including one pair with a small integrated display. We'll discuss what gets announced and what the announcements mean for the future of AR and VR from Meta. We'll also take a deeper dive into recent Meta AR and VR prototypes, research, and testing (both publicly announced and leaked) and how all of those things should shape our expectations for what will be included in the Quest 4 (2027) and the unnamed sunglasses form-factor VR HMD expected to be released next year.
As always, discuss the latest AR and VR news, and demo the latest hardware and software. Members are welcome to share hardware and software they're developing, give reviews, or speak on topics. If you have something you'd like to present, reach out to us to let us know!

We are working on finding a new permanent home for the meetup. There are several venues potentially willing to host us, and we may try hosting in different locations before making a final decision. We are currently meeting in Room 177 of the Houston Community College West Campus.
Interplay Learning / ITI will talk about the latest developments in their VR crane and heavy equipment training, as well as the broader Interplay Learning portfolio. We will, as always, discuss the latest AR and VR news, and demo the latest hardware and software.
