Justin DuPont on AR Development (incl AR Pokémon Cards), plus Apple Vision Pro

Justin DuPont, formerly of Microsoft, now a freelance AR developer, will be sharing his experiences in AR development, including developing AR Pokémon Cards. His dev logs on TikTok have gotten over a half million views, and his newest AR App, Familiars, will be available to demo at the meetup.

We'll also be discussing and demoing the Apple Vision Pro. It's a remarkable piece of hardware at a challenging price point. You'll have an opportunity to test out its many groundbreaking features, including EyeSight, Spatial Video, ultra-high-resolution displays, eye-tracking, and more. We'll talk about whether the current headset makes sense for casual users, business users, and applied uses in industry. We'll also explore the ways in which it is already reshaping the AR and VR markets, and what Apple's lower-priced second generation headset my bring.
