Learn and practice Authentic Yang Style Tai Chi - not just the form, but the entire system. Jokingly described as "Yoga you can fight with," Tai Chi is a slow moving martial art that develops balance, posture, body alignment, flexibility, and improves energy levels. Once learned, it can be practiced as a complete form of exercise for a lifetime.
The primary goal of the group is to introduce newcomers and returning beginners/intermediate players to Yang Style Tai Chi in an easily digestable format. The secondary goal of the group is to find those who wish to practice Tai Chi long term and learn the complete Yang Style system at an advanced level.
Meetups will focus primarily on practicing the core three areas of Yang Style practice - the Long Form, Push Hands, and Tai Chi Ball/silk reeling. Other advanced topics will be presented as membership grows.
