One of the guys at the top of the REI pyramid, who I have a ton of respect for, is John Hyre. I’ve been to John’s events & classes over the years and he’s brilliant. Several years ago, I saw John with Dyches Boddiford out in California, that was a great event. He knows what he is doing. The top mentors, trainers and gurus all go to John for asset protection and tax reduction. The guys who I look up to in REI, look up to John. He’s an attorney and a CPA but don’t hold that against him, he’s also an investor, so he knows what we need.
After over 20 years of serving clients and presenting informative seminars, John’s time has been bought by what is essentially a “members only” family office. As such, he is no longer taking clients (even at his old $1,000/hour rate). His contract does permit him to present a few times per year. Those presentations are the only opportunity for the general public to ask John Q&A and engage in back & forth with him. Based on my direct, personal experience, such Q&A is even more valuable than his excellent content.
One such presentation shall be All About Entities for REI and other Entrepreneurs. It shall consist of 8 (recorded for future use & those who miss a call) two-hour Zoom calls. The first 6 calls shall each cover specific subjects, with the final 30 minutes for Q&A (questions may be sent in ahead of time). The last 2 calls shall be 100% Q&A and back & forth discussion. I highly recommend this series. There shall be no upsells. Just pure content. It helps that John is both an attorney (so he gets asset protection better than an accountant) and an accountant (so he gets taxes better than most attorneys). He also does a ton of research to know what’s what, up to date, both for asset protection and tax savings.
