HELLO GIRLFRIENDS! This meetup group is for girlfriends of all ages, sizes and colors. If you are single, married or just trying to fiqure it out. If you have kids or not. Our goal is to network, explore new events and places all around Houston and make great girlfriends. If this describes you, we would love to meet you!
SOCIALIZING---As women, it's so important for us to have meaningful friendships with other women and with the rise of the internet, facebook, email etc face to face friendships are becoming a premium! Most events will be just for Girlfriends but we will also plan event for those of us with children and significant others. Members will participate in activities such as Happy Hours, Movie Nights, Brunches, Hikes, Bowling, Trivia Night, Volunteer Work, Karaoke Night, Shopping Trips, Wine Tastings, Spa Days…the possibilities are endless:)! Members are encouraged to share ideas for fun activities. The only prerequisite is that you have the desire to actively build a strong circle of real girlfriends! The following are a few simple rules (really just a certain level of courtesy) that we ask our members to abide by. 1)Let's all just have good manners2 ) Show up if you say you are going to be there. If you can't make it, change your RSVP. We understand life happens. If you RSVP “yes” and can't make it at the last minute, please contact your host. (If you RSVP “yes” and “no-show” you will be removed from the group. 3) Please give everyone a chance to talk. You may Love to hear yourself talk, but not everyone else does. Some people are shy. If you are not shy, try to engage that shy girl in conversation. 4) Please don't criticize the other girls in the group (what they do for work, hobbies, etc.). Let's only say positive things to the new friends we meet!
NETWORKING---Our purpose is to promote business interaction among women in the Houston area, to enlighten and encourage them in their business endeavors, and to educate them in the nuances of networking. This is accomplished through programs in networking techniques and the encouragement of the use of goods and services of fellow members. Members include small business owners, representatives and employees from small businesses to large corporations, civic leaders, and community volunteers. Getting involved is the ultimate in networking. GIRLFRIENDS NETWOKING is about getting to know each other, working with others on projects, giving back to the community, and ultimately growing businesses through mutually beneficial relationships. Monthly meetings feature relevant speakers or programs and provide members with opportunities for business development and personal relationships.
Please be sure to fill out the intro section when you join the group, and please leave a picture so we know who to look for. Finally, we always welcome (and highly encourage!) members to post events and ideas. It makes our jobs easier and the group a lot more fun. =)
THIS GROUP WILL HAVE A MONTHLY RAFFLE OF FUN ITEMS FOR ALL MEMBERS, YOU WILL NOT HAVE TO PURCHASE ANY TICKETS ALL MEMBERS WHO HAVE PAID THE MERBERSHIP DUES WILL AUTOMATICLY BE ENTERED IN THE RAFFLE!
