Houston Social Entrepreneurship Meetup - August Community Gathering

Details

Organized by Impact Hub Houston, HSEM is a platform for impact-minded entrepreneurs and investors to gather, share ideas, be in good company, and support one another. We welcome all aspiring (still employed, unemployed, or in school) OR existing entrepreneurs, as well as anyone who is interested in creating a viable and potentially scalable solution to a pressing issue they or their community face.

This month our community gathering will be hosted at Impact Hub Houston in collaboration with Founder & Chairman of The National Police Data Coalition - Darrell Malone.

The National Police Data Coalition (NPDC) is a non-profit that is establishing the first nationally integrated, independent repository of police data. The goal of the organization is to create transparency, enable accountability and unite advocates, policymakers and agencies in making our communities safer. At our August Community gathering attendees will have the opportunity to learn more about NPDC as well as actively engage with the platform created by Darrell and his team.

The general meetup schedule:

  • 5:30 pm - 6:30 pm: Drinks, Appetizers & Networking
  • 6:30 pm - 7:00 pm: NPDC Demo Presentation: Darrell Malone, Founder of The National Police Data Coalition
  • 7:00 pm - 7:30 pm: Post presentation networking
  • 7:30 pm: Event ends

If you would like to speak at a future event, please email us at Akeel.Bernard@impacthub.net with the topic you'd like to discuss, along with a link to your LinkedIn profile, and website.

We'll see you there!
