Join Houston Urban Trekkers for a Saturday morning walk through Memorial Villages~separate little incorporated towns that are not Houston.

Hike begins PROMPTLY @ 9AM. If you arrive late you will not find group @ meeting location and will have missed the event.

Kroger has now closed. We meet in front of adjacent Baskin Robbins.

We will walk in & out of different neighborhood streets to get our steps in then make our way to a small neighborhood park. After visiting the park we will continue on~ to the Memorial Villages Farmers Market located @ 10840 Bienhorn Rd. We will visit the market for 20 minutes or so then head back to Bask in Robbins.

The area was settled by mostly German farmers~ it became the residential area it is now in the 1940’s. Like most of Houston, you can see some original mid-century mixed with brand new.

Bring: Water, Hat, Sunscreen. Tote bag or backpack (& cash) if you plan to purchase produce from the farmers market.

Some vendors accept credit cards, some do not. Also some vendors that accept cash may not have correct change to give back to you.

Wear proper walking shoes (any athletic sports-type shoe will do). We will be walking on a concrete sidewalk.

No public restrooms available prior to hike.

There are restrooms once we arrive at Farmers Market (inside church).

Do not bring your dog. Dogs not allowed @ any events posted by Houston Urban Trekkers.

Note~ we will get our steps in first, visiting farmers market will be towards end of walk. After visiting the market we still have to walk back to parking area~ approx. 1 mile.

The Memorial Villages Farmers Market is Saturdays only from 9AM-1PM.
